Today is Mickey’s birthday, so we celebrate with the traditional double release! Remember, we’re still looking for japanese/chinese translators! You’ll also be glad to know that our previous release of Family Compo 63 was downloaded 669 times, but only 8 people bothered to comment (5 of the people were staffers)! ;D

Thank you for the excellent work that you do. Especially for the MF/MU links instead of the short-sighted “minimum 50 posts in the forum” that some groups do these days.
As for commenting, I am sure a lot of people are like me: I am grateful for your work, but I hate commenting when I have nothing to say. I almost never comment anywhere.
Requiring an email in the comment is also very discouraging, as I am very privacy-conscious.
You have my thanks, and respect, and I am sure that many others feel the same, and just don’t comment for the same reasons I don’t.

Thanks for the new chapter of Family Compo! I love that manga, though is it sad that the chapters I look forward to are the ones where the main character crossdresses? It is just strangely addicting.

@Mic: You’ve explained your point perfectly well enough, and it applies to many if not most of the cases here.
The staff here would simply appreciate comments for the sake of feedback, if nothing else. They want to know that people are reading, who’s reading, and what kind of people they are. If they’re the kind to only show up and say “thank you” then that’s that, that’s who they are, and now they know.
As for the e-mail… being former staff, I can tell you that there’s much the rest of us don’t see when we look at the number of comments per blog entry, such as how much crap was filtered out. The e-mail requirement serves as some deterrent to the level of genital enhancement ads the group gets as thanks for releasing.

Sorry for double-posting! But I had to comment on some things.
First of all, I love being able to comment like this. Using a blog is a great way to release your works imo. It’s informal and easy to find. Some groups use forums or just don’t enable their users to comment at all, which sucks. I cannot recall the last time I’ve thanked a group for their works when I have to register, go to my mail and confirm, head back to the forums to login and at last be able to throw a one-line post saying “thanks, keep up the good work.” That is how it is. :(
Leaving out my private email to be able to comment is a small “sacrifice.” I trust SCX enough for that. :)
