Hi guys, it’s been a while as always. I haven’t been up for scanlation in a while, but I’ve finally rallied up my willpower so I can put some more effort into editing, qcing, and proofing again. I like how all the manga we do these days are the ones I like. SUCK ON THAT SKYKING. So I haven’t posted in a while. I’m a full fledged adult now… most of us are becoming one. You know what adulthood does to you? Kill you of any dorky personality and hobbies you had when you were young… such as manga. =D

Oops, it’s been a long time. I’ve been busy, finally got a job and a life and now get to play catch-up with everything. Still looking for (certain) staff, read the post below.

So, who are you supporting for FIFA? What’s your favourite moment to date?

So someone asked if we’re still doing this, and the answer is now clearly a yes. However-

Currently seeking the following:
Dedicated translator for Family Compo – Preferably J-E, but F-E works too. We have 3 volumes left, I want to go through them as fast as possible.

Dedicated editor for Dousei Recipe – We’re a couple volumes behind, but editing this is hard because Dousei Recipe has a LOT of redraws (hair, body parts, colour occasionally, you name it). I am not accepting any “new” or “lesser-experienced” editors, you must be experienced and preferably have some past works in other groups to back up your experience.

Like I mentioned in the previous post, at the end of summer I’m leaving the country for a 1 year exchange and would preferably have less on my plate than more ;( That’s why (for now), SCX-Scans will not be picking up any projects, only stray ends in hopes that the burden will be much less for the next year (unless someone wants to step up and help me out…).

Grim news aside, cheese or chocolate fondue? I love both.

So, finally done. Hallelujah. It’s over, finally. Thanks to all the staff who’ve worked on this terribly long project over the past half year, it’s been fantastic and wearing on my patience at the same time, but it feels great to finally finish this project. Thanks to Arienai! and FoOlRulez for stepping in and jointing with us, otherwise I would’ve dropped this ages ago. Special thanks to the awesome editor Eye for doing this entire project himself, which meant everything stayed consistent and I didn’t have to train people. Thanks to Onizukaa for picking the project. Yay. Whoo!

So, what’s next for SCX-Scans? I plan on (trying) to finish, or catch-up with all the series we are currently working on (though I’m lacking the patience to scan the last couple volumes of stuff). I’m not sure how active we will remain after summer (I’m leaving the country for a year), but hopefully we’ll make it along as always (:
