Family Compo 71

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

Oops, it’s been a long time. I’ve been busy, finally got a job and a life and now get to play catch-up with everything. Still looking for (certain) staff, read the post below.

So, who are you supporting for FIFA? What’s your favourite moment to date?

Family Compo 70

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

So someone asked if we’re still doing this, and the answer is now clearly a yes. However-

Currently seeking the following:
Dedicated translator for Family Compo – Preferably J-E, but F-E works too. We have 3 volumes left, I want to go through them as fast as possible.

Dedicated editor for Dousei Recipe – We’re a couple volumes behind, but editing this is hard because Dousei Recipe has a LOT of redraws (hair, body parts, colour occasionally, you name it). I am not accepting any “new” or “lesser-experienced” editors, you must be experienced and preferably have some past works in other groups to back up your experience.

See the Join SCX page for more information (:

Like I mentioned in the previous post, at the end of summer I’m leaving the country for a 1 year exchange and would preferably have less on my plate than more ;( That’s why (for now), SCX-Scans will not be picking up any projects, only stray ends in hopes that the burden will be much less for the next year (unless someone wants to step up and help me out…).

Grim news aside, cheese or chocolate fondue? I love both.

Family Compo 69, Happy Valentine’s / SAD / CNY!

Sunday, February 14th, 2010

So, finally starting up again on Family Compo, hopefully we’ll finish this series sometime soon :] Happy Valentine’s Day / Single Awareness Day / Chinese New Year’s! Whether you’re lonely, or have a significant other, or didn’t receive enough lai see on CNY, I hope you guys are having an awesome Sunday!

On a side note, SCX is having a constant Olympic discussion in our channel (#detcetorp@irc.irchighway.net) while it’s aired live on TV, so if you’re in need of a place to cheer on your country (GO CANADA!!!!) or just want to chat, drop by! Who are you supporting? For me… GO CANADA!!!!!

I love pho.

Orange Roof 41-42, Family Compo 68, Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!

Friday, December 25th, 2009

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays everyone!! We’re nearing the end of the year already, and now I can only wonder how it passed so fast. I only have 1 more release for this year before this group will take a break until after January 1st (I’ve been up until 3am every night prepping releases… no more =p). If any staff are reading this, I don’t expect stuff to be in until after January 1st. Everyone, relax and enjoy your holidays! Thanks to all the staff who’ve stuck with this group, you guys were all a great help <3

On a slightly depressing note, we are looking for experienced cleaners. I don’t have the time to train anyone, but I’m up until 2am every night editing every project to keep this group going and I’m hoping someone can help us out. Please apply if interested :] We need editors for Family Compo, Vandread, and any other misc projects that we have left over (we have a couple one shots that are translated but have no editors).

So, I still have yet to taste eggnog, but I’ve had apple cider. Is it supposed to taste like I’m drinking liquid apple pie?

Family Compo 67, Mel Kano 15, 3Gatsu no Lion Omake

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

Yes, the blog is back up (woo hoo). In the time the blog was down, we did release quite a lot (not really), so the links are below for the http-starved. We need editors, please apply if interested (preferably experienced, I’m not joking when I say I don’t have time to really train people.)

Someone said that Cross Over 1-19 are broken, so I’ve re-uploaded them.

Someone (Taco_Hell?) also told me that I never featured tacos like I said I would, so here:

Edit by ami: Fcompo link seems to be working for me. Try try and try again :D It might be because a lot (?) of people are downloading at once, so MF can’t handle it all. Maybe~~~

Mushi 13, Family Compo 65, 3Gatsu 6, HBD Mickey!

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Today is Mickey’s birthday, so we celebrate with the traditional double release! Remember, we’re still looking for japanese/chinese translators! You’ll also be glad to know that our previous release of Family Compo 63 was downloaded 669 times, but only 8 people bothered to comment (5 of the people were staffers)! ;D

Also, this is the final Mushi chapter done by our faithful editor, adori-nyu. Good luck in life, adori-nyu, and thanks for all your hard work!

Lemon fennel doughnuts + black plum sorbet from Perilla in Manhattan:

It seems Mediafire is under DDoS right now (same with IRCHighway…), so Megaupload this time. I won’t be able to check the # of downloads, but here’s to hoping more of you comment :]

Have an awesome birthday, Mickey!

Finally onto volume 10! That being said, we really need japanese/chinese translators! If you’re proficient in Japanese or Chinese and have a few hours to spare a week during the summer, please consider applying!

Enjoy the sandwich (catfish sandwich + clam chowder from Matt’s in the Market, located in Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market):

What up. I had the best spring break ever. I was drunk for like 9/10 of it. =D That’s how great it was.
