SCX-Scanlations

This concludes Idol no Akahon, a manga that has really short chapters so we could release it really quickly to artificially boost our release rate and massage our tiny egos. I would love to say we are sad to see it end, but I for one never really liked it. The story was childish, the art was half assed, and the characters were cliche. But I’m just bitter. I’m sure there’s some bright-eyed little girl/boy (I’m not sexist) who just loves this series and is so very grateful, but from our stats, this is the least popular series we’ve done yet. Oh, and also Lenners (the leader of the group) doesn’t really have time to manage the group at the moment, and thus has even less time to teach new comers, so we aren’t accepting any new applications unless you have a referral from another reputable scanlation group. We prefer letters of recommendation that talk about the quality of your work, as well as the content of your character (we don’t care about the colour of your skin). Anywho we’re down to 12 projects now (yay!). Oh, on a different note, can you believe that the saints won! I mean on side kick, and the interception at the end! I was like no way! Anyway obligatory hot girl picture coming up. Classy ladies >_>… Yea I really didn’t want to write this blog post.

Hi guys, (yesterday) was ami’s birthday, but I’m only off by an hour!! (Please forgive me, ami!!!). To celebrate, we’re releasing a brand new series called Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu. It’s so brand new that I haven’t even made a project page for it yet :] I hope you guys enjoy the (massively long and a huge pain to edit) prologue chapter. I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had a lot of time to focus on scanlations (my staff can attest to this), but hopefully after this weekend I’ll be able to focus a bit more and reach our regular release schedule again.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays everyone!! We’re nearing the end of the year already, and now I can only wonder how it passed so fast. I only have 1 more release for this year before this group will take a break until after January 1st (I’ve been up until 3am every night prepping releases… no more =p). If any staff are reading this, I don’t expect stuff to be in until after January 1st. Everyone, relax and enjoy your holidays! Thanks to all the staff who’ve stuck with this group, you guys were all a great help <3

On a slightly depressing note, we are looking for experienced cleaners. I don’t have the time to train anyone, but I’m up until 2am every night editing every project to keep this group going and I’m hoping someone can help us out. Please apply if interested :] We need editors for Family Compo, Vandread, and any other misc projects that we have left over (we have a couple one shots that are translated but have no editors).

So, I still have yet to taste eggnog, but I’ve had apple cider. Is it supposed to taste like I’m drinking liquid apple pie?
